~ 5 BIGGEST CHALLENGES TO WORKING AT HOME ~


WORKING AT HOME is no piece of cake. Most people understand that, but they do not really get why it can be so Challenging. Outlined here are the 5 BIGGEST CHALLENGES to Working At Home. These Challenges will not stop a person from Working At Home, but can cause a lot of problems and ruin any chance for making it in the Work At Home Environment.

CHALLENGE #1
TIME

There is a lot of Freedom when Working From Home and that means being able to Manage Time efficiently is very important. It can be easy to let time get away. It is also easy to underestimate how long a task or job will take and not allot enough time to get it done. To keep time from being a Challenge, a person should develop a Schedule ~ both Work and Free Time.


CHALLENGE #2
BOUNDARIES

Many times family and friends do not take Working At Home seriously, which can lead to problems with Boundaries. It can be hard to tell someone “I am Working” and actually get them to understand and accept it. To help with Boundary issues, a person should set up a Work At Home Area that is specifically for Work. When in the Work Area ~ no personal phone calls or interruptions should be tolerated.


CHALLENGE #3
TOO MUCH INDEPENDENCE

Working At Home is about Freedom, but being too Independent can lead to problems. Everyone needs interaction with others. One of the perks of Working Outside the Home is interacting with other people. When a person Works at Home, it can be easy to withdraw into that World and forget about the Outside World. The Outside World is important, though. Networking is a huge part of Working At Home Success. Every person who Works At Home should find some type of Online Environment to belong to, and be able to escape to during the Work Day just to relax.


CHALLENGE #4
BEING OUT OF THE LOOP

This kind of goes with Independence. Being out of the loop means not staying informed. Working At Home is about staying informed and knowing what is going on in the Industry in which you are Working. A person should be a part of Online Groups and other Communities that will give them Information they should know.


CHALLENGE #5
LACK OF SUPPORT

As mentioned before, sometimes Family and Friends will not be supportive. It is common for them to not Believe a person is really Working and that they are just messing around. The way to combat this is to show them what is going on. A person should show what they do, how much money they make and make it clear that this is a real job.

These Five Challenges are going to be an issue for almost everyone who Works At Home. There are Challenges that can be Overcome, though, so they should never lead to a person giving up on Working At Home. Challenges will just make a person a Better Worker and teach them Important Skills they need to Survive in the Work At Home Environment.

QUICK AND EASY WAYS TO *MAKE MONEY* !

As you look for a way to Earn Money, remember, the *Online Internet Marketing Arena* is the BEST way to build a *Awesome Business*, however, this is not the only way to "Earn Money at Home". There are a number of things you can do, out of your Home, in your Free Time which will enable you to earn some Extra Cash.

Garage Sale: As one of the time-tested most effective ways to go to your spring cleaning, get rid of some old junk, and make some money, garage sales are still one of the most effective ways for people to connect with their neighbors. As a quick and easy way to make money a garage sale also offers people the ability to connect with other people. Far from having to advertise only on the Internet ,you can do some fun things like print up some flyers and post them at laundromats or grocery stores and see if you can attract some cash strapped value hunters who are looking to get some new things.

Consignment: This is a very popular activity for the ladies in the house but just about anybody who has decent quality clothes is able to put them on consignment. This works by taking your decent clothes which are maybe a little bit fancy to a consignment shop where they will try the fix them up and sell them and then you are able to split the portion of the prophet with the shop once they sell your piece. While this may take a little bit longer than somebody who's looking for a quick way to make money it certainly is very easy and it can pop up for you at a time when it would be helpful for you in the future.

Cleaning services: Anyone who doesn't have a job and who has all the time in the world knows that time is precious. People who do have jobs need their time even more than the unemployed and so if you need some money and you don't have a job you can offer up your cleaning services to your neighbors. If you are interested in selling your sweets to your neighbors or friends or around your office or just going around from Business-to-Business and finding out if they want to have a Friday Cupcake Day or if they want by your Awesome Brownies, you should be able to make some quick and easy money in no time.

~ STAYING ORGANIZED IN YOUR COMPUTERIZED HOME OFFICE ~

Nothing makes working from a *Computerized Home Office* more frustrating than not being able to locate anything when you need it. While most Business Owners see themselves as being busy all the time, some of your time has to be spent in staying organized. On a daily basis, you have to set aside time to put everything in its place. There is a place for everything, within your reach. I have various Business Card files, Index Card files, Note files, Steno Book Transcription files, Teleseminar/Webinar files etc., that I must organize.

Many people have to find the time to do things over, but seldom have the time to do it right the first time. Usually because they can’t locate information, they will have to recreate it, which will take a lot more time than the five seconds it might have taken to put it in its right place to begin with. You must also Organize your Mail ~ Offline, and Email ~ Online. Being able to find the staples when your stapler runs out can save a precious few minutes you will spend going through the desk drawers, or worse going to the store to buy more, knowing you have a new box somewhere in the office.

The amount of office supplies you maintain in the *Computerized Home Office* will depend on your Internet Business, as well as your budget. Regardless, don’t let your desk become a storage area for your supplies. Use an old dresser of bookcase on which to keep your Office supplies, while keeping only a small stash on your desk or in the desk drawers. When you put supplies in a storage area, make sure the Tags are visible for easy identification.

To keep your *Computerized Home Office* running smooth, consider your desk the focal point of the *Computerized Home Office*. Your Computer, Printer and Fax needs to be within easy reach of your desk chair. If you have to get up every few minutes to answer the phone, grab a Fax or check the Printer, you are wasting several precious minutes everyday reaching for things. Files that you are currently working on should be stored on USB Flash Drives, which are very convenient and portable, or your Hard Drive, or Documents File, within your Computer.

There are many USB Organizers, that you can use to keep all of your USB Flash Drives by your Computer, for daily use. Ideally, you can open all the files you intend to conquer that day and continue to Organize them. The best thing about using USB Flash Drives, is that you can take them anywhere in the World and connect them to any Computer, to retrieve your Files and Information ~ even to School! :-)

While it may seem easier, especially for caffeine addicts to have their coffee pot near their desk, it is a bad idea overall. First, too much coffee can be bad for the health as well as a contributing factor to extra bathroom breaks. However, the primary reason is the potential for a damaging coffee spill by drinking coffee at your desk. Everyone needs to take a break from their work periodically, and having the coffee pot in a separate room can force you to take a few minutes to clear your head.

~ USE KNOWLEDGE TO INCREASE HOME BASED ONLINE MARKETING ~

One of the favorite Home Based Online Marketing methods being used today is Article Marketing, allowing Business Owners to be perceived as an expert in their field while they help internet search engines find their site. In order to be successful on the internet a business needs visitors and one method of gaining visitors is being found in search engine results. Search Engines have basic criteria about the position of a Website based on certain factors, one of which is the popularity of the site.

How the search engines determine a site's popularity is somewhat of a secret, but one method that is talked about by search engine owners is determined by not only how many people visit the site, but how many other, related sites sponsor links to the site. The operative word here is relative and sites that relate to the site, linking to it are considered relative and give the site an extra vote in its popularity.

To take advantage, some business owners write articles about their business. Whether it is about the specific items they carry or about how they conduct business and then freely share their articles with others. Since publishers of ezines are constantly prowling the internet for information they can publish on their sites for free, if the author of an article operates a business to which the article's information pertains, they must be an expert, or at least be knowledgeable about the topic, and they publish the article.

The secret, so to speak, is that in order to use the article for free, information about the author must be included with the article and this usually contains a hot link to the author's website. The person conducting the web search can find an informative article pertaining to their interests leading them to the ezine, which receives a boost in visitor count. The author of the article gets a link back to their site from the ezine publisher as well as the potential for the visitor to click on the link and head over to their site and become a customer.

With this scenario, everyone seems to come out a winner. However, there are certain rules to follow when writing these articles that will first of all, attract Ezine Publishers to want to use them, lead readers to believe the author knows what they are talking about. They also need to be seen by the search engines as being informative and not simply another method of spamming the search engines by using key words over and over again.

Many Ezine Publishers actually read the articles before they publish them since they are providing a benefit to their readers. If the articles are more about simply drawing the attention of search engines they will not make the cut. There are a few Publishers who simply use a search for the keyword and publish articles containing that word without reading the materials. This puts off their readers as well as the search engines and usually goes nowhere. Information sells, and quality article information can sell a site to the search engines.
